Condit is a founding member of Killjoy Collective, a group of artists intent on increasing the visibility of female-identifying artists in Portland and beyond by curating shows representing a vast array of media in an alternative artist-run space in Southeast Portland.

Maggie-Rose Condit is an interdisciplinary artist and curator currently living in London. Condit’s work contends with the perplexing intersections of girlhood, pop culture, body politics, and feminism. Condit confronts these personal, yet bizarre subjects by summoning the strangeness in everyday materials sourced from places like the cosmetics aisle, the kitchen, or the party supply store. These explorations regurgitate symbols of the cute and the ladylike, congealing into a sticky-sweet, unruly fantasy. Condit received her MFA in Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon in 2016.

Condit has exhibited nationally in the US including the Seattle International Art Fair, Disjecta Contemporary Art Center, Littman & White Gallery, Northview Gallery, and Portland Museum of Contemporary Craft. She is a founding member of Killjoy Collective, a collaborative gallery space focused on intersectional feminist projects. Killjoy Collective operated in southeast Portland from 2016 to 2018. www.killjoypdx.com
