Maggie-Rose Condit is an interdisciplinary artist and curator currently living in London. Condit’s work contends with the perplexing intersections of girlhood, pop culture, body politics, and feminism. Condit confronts these bizarre, yet personal subjects by summoning the strangeness in everyday materials from places like the dollar store, the cosmetics aisle, or the kitchen. These explorations often result in installation, sculpture, performance, video, etc. In 2016, Condit received her MFA in Visual Studies from Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon.
Condit has exhibited nationally including the Seattle International Art Fair, Disjecta Contemporary Art Center, Littman & White Gallery, Northview Gallery, and Portland Museum of Contemporary Craft. She is a founding member of Killjoy Collective, a collaborative gallery space focused on intersectional feminist projects. Killjoy Collective operated in southeast Portland from 2016 to 2018. www.killjoypdx.com
